To remove the compressor, ensure the air conditioning system is fully discharged and evacuate it with an air conditioning specialist. Remove the auxiliary drivebelt, unscrew the nut and bolt securing the refrigerant pipe retaining plates to the compressor, separate the pipes, disconnect the wiring connector, and remove the compressor. Drain refrigerant oil if renewing the compressor. For refitting, lubricate new refrigerant pipe sealing rings with compressor oil, fit the pipes, tighten the retaining bolt securely, reconnect the wiring connector, and refit the drivebelt. Have the air conditioning system recharged by a specialist. For the condenser, discharge the system, remove the front bumper, energy absorber, air guides, intercooler (where applicable), disconnect the refrigerant pipes, and lift out the condenser. Lubricate sealing rings with compressor oil, fit new sealing rings, quickly connect the pipes, and have the system recharged. For the receiver/dryer, discharge the system, remove the bumper, air guide, lower bolt, clamp bolt, and disconnect the refrigerant pipes. Lubricate sealing rings, fit new ones, quickly connect the pipes, and have the system recharged. For the pressure switch, disconnect the wiring, unscrew it from the condenser, and replace the sealing ring. Refit it, recharge the system, and remember to inform the specialist of any renewed components. For the evaporator, discharge the system, remove the heater/ventilation housing, various components within, and detach the housing halves. Remove the evaporator cover, lift out the evaporator with the temperature sensor, and if necessary, remove the expansion valve. Refitting is the reverse of removal, and recharge the system with refrigerant. Finally, for the expansion valve, discharge the system, remove the cowl panel, disconnect refrigerant pipes, and unplug/seal openings. Undo the expansion valve bolts, remove it from the bulkhead, and recover and discard the O-ring seals. Refit it with new seals and recharge the system with refrigerant.
