Nissan 350Z Power Steering Pressure Switch Parts Questions & Answers

  • Q: Where is the PSP sensor located on the power steering pump on Nissan 350Z?
A: The PSP sensor is located on the high-pressure power steering fluid line at the power steering pump, which is located on the right side of the engine, directly above the alternator. To start, raise the front of the vehicle and place it securely on jackstands. Then, locate the PSP sensor on the right upper side of the power steering pump. Disconnect the electrical connector from the PSP sensor. To do this, depress the release tab and pull the connector off. Next, unscrew the PSP sensor using a wrench or deep socket. Be prepared for fluids to spill. Installation is the reverse of removal. After installation, check the power steering fluid level, adding as necessary to bring it to the appropriate level.
