Nissan 350Z Steering Knuckle

A Steering Knuckle of Nissan 350Z cars is a particular link that allows connecting suspension and steering mechanisms to the front wheels and providing the car's stable rotation within a given plane. Depending on the type of car: rear-wheel drive or front/all-wheel drive, Knuckles may differ by the spindles' and hubs' integration. While rear wheel drive or RWD cars may have an integral spindle in the Knuckle, the front wheel drive or FWD all wheel drive or 4WD cars may consist of a hub fixed with the Knuckle. For this reason, this paper sought to analyze the historical change of steering Knuckles from kingpins type to modern one with a view of assessing their effectiveness as far as wheel stability and control is concerned. As these mechanisms are located at the wheels, it is quite important to conduct the control and maintenance of Knuckles on a regular basis for achieving the most advisable and safe working conditions of the vehicle.
