Notably, locate the battery hold-down clamp that straddles across the top section of the battery. Get rid of the bolts and hold-down clamp. Carefully take out the battery away from its compartment. Some auto parts stores stock special straps with which batteries can be lifted after being attached to their terminals; this seems to make lifting and transporting much easier.
