- Q: What is the adjustment procedure for the accelerator cable and the cruise control cable on Nissan Maxima?A: To remove the accelerator and cruise control cables, detach them from the throttle lever, loosen the locknut and adjusting nut, and separate the accelerator cable from the bracket. Pull the cable end from the accelerator pedal arm and remove the bolts securing the cable to the firewall. Remove the cable through the firewall. Installation is the reverse of removal, make sure correct cable routing and fastening all clips. Apply sealant to the accelerator cable bracket to prevent water entry.
