Nissan Quest Heater Core

The Heater Core in vehicles Nissan Quest is one of the main components responsible for supplying heat to the car cabin, which is produced by the additional circulation of engine heat. Looking like a miniature radiator, the core is cooled with the help of a water and antifreeze solution and sends heated air into the cabin as the vehicle's fan blows it. Various types of heater cores may come with temperature control facilities such as valves or doors and the modern day complex systems may contain electromechanical actuators as sensors for climatic controls. In conditioned vehicles, it also plays a role in dehumidification besides heating the cooled air in the heater core. Problems such as blockage, dripping, and rusting are usual and their rectification is challenging due to the core's positioning below the car's bonnet and within reach of the dashboard.

If you need any OEM Nissan Quest Heater Core, feel free to choose them out of our huge selection of genuine Nissan Quest Heater Core. All our parts are offered at unbeatable prices and are supported by the manufacturer's warranty. In addition, we offer quick shipping to have your parts delivered to your door step in a matter of days.

Nissan Quest Heater Core Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install a heater core in a Nissan Quest?
A: Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and drain the cooling system. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core inlet and outlet tubes at the firewall. Remove the center dash trim panel, console cover, two lower side panels, radio, heater/air conditioning control panel, glove compartment, and both left and right below-dash covers. Remove the heater floor duct, upper duct, U-shaped steel framework supporting the dashboard's center area, and the brace at the glove box's bottom. Access the heater unit by removing the center-dash support and the plastic heater duct outlet panel. The blower housing and Evaporator housing remain, but for ease, loosen the blower/evaporator housing mounting screws. From the instrument panel's center opening, remove the heater unit mounting screw, followed by two lower screws. Slide the heater unit out, noting that the accelerator pedal may need removal and protecting the carpet from potential coolant spills. After removal, take out the foam insulator, sheet-metal shield, plastic brace, and then the heater core. Installation is the opposite of removal. Ensure the original foam sealing material is positioned correctly when reinstalling the heater core. After everything, refill the cooling system, run the engine, and check for leaks. For the rear: Some models have an optional heater/air conditioning system behind the left-rear interior trim panel, incorporating a blower, heater core, and evaporator core. Begin by removing the left rear trim panel, then discharge and recover the air conditioning refrigerant. Raise the vehicle for better access to hose connections underneath. Disconnect refrigerant lines and coolant hoses using a spring-lock coupling tool. Detach the upper duct from the auxiliary heater/air conditioning unit, all electrical connectors including those at the Blower Motor, resistor, and actuators. Remove the unit, followed by the screws and both actuator doors. Proceed by removing the heater core/evaporator core cover to access and then remove the cores. Installation is the reverse of removal. After setting up, refill the cooling system, recharge the refrigerant, and test the system for effective heating and cooling.
