    A: Again the timing system is intricate and due to some mistakes made a serious harm may be occasioned on the engine, as such, it is recommended that this exercise be carried out by highly skilled personnel only. The steps include; disconnecting the negative battery terminal, and draining the cooling system. Drivebelts should be detached entirely, and the nuts on the right front wheel loosened; the vehicle is then raised reasonably on jackstands with the parking brake engaged. Raise and support the car and then take off the right-front wheel followed by the removal of the splash shield, the pan, turn off the cooling system and drain it. Place the number one piston at the top dead center on the compression stroke and also, unscrew the spark plugs. Remove the radiator and bypass hoses from the thermostat housing, and then take the water pump pulley. Third, after loosening the bolt, it will be necessary to take out the air conditioning compressor idler pulley and bracket and then the crankshaft pulley removing the tension from the belt while making sure that the crank pulley does not turn. Release clamps and connectors at the upper timing belt cover; next, take off the bolts in the upper and lower timing belt covers while noting the positions of the bolts for reinstallation.
