  Q: How to remove and install the secondary catalytic converter on Nissan Rogue?

  A: The primary catalytic converter is an integral part of the exhaust manifold. For the secondary catalytic converter, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Spray a liberal amount of penetrating oil onto the threads of all fasteners to be removed. Unscrew the two nuts that fasten the center exhaust pipe (catalytic converter) to the front exhaust pipe. Unscrew the two nuts that fasten the center exhaust pipe (catalytic converter) to the rear pipe. Remove the exhaust pipe (catalytic converter) and discard the front and rear gaskets. Installation is the reverse of removal. Use new exhaust gaskets. Use anti-seize compound on all fasteners.
