  Q: How to remove and install a starter on a Nissan Rogue?

  A: Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. If you're working on a 2013 or earlier/2014 or later Rogue Select AWD model, loosen the right-front wheel lug nuts. If you're working on a 2014 or later model (except Rogue Select), remove the battery and Battery Tray. If you're working on a 2013 or earlier model, 2014 or later Rogue Select model, raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. If you're working on an AWD model, remove the right-front wheel. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the "S"and "B" terminals ( Starter electrical connections "S" and "8" and starter mounting bolts). Remove the starter mounting bolts and remove the starter. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the starter mounting bolts. Reconnect the battery and perform the necessary re-learn procedures.
