The sunroof retains power for 45 seconds after the key is turned off, which can be canceled by opening the front door, turning the Ignition Switch to ON, or allowing the time to elapse. With the ignition On but the engine Off, the sunroof control switch can be operated through tilt and slide functions, and the sound of the motor running should be audible. If the motor is heard but the sunroof glass doesn't move, there may be an issue with the drive mechanism. If there is no sound from the motor, checking the Fuses in both the interior fuse panel and the engine compartment power distribution center is necessary. If voltage is present at the switch, it should be disconnected and checked for continuity in all operating positions; if continuity is absent, replacement is required. For sunroof removal, a qualified repair facility should be consulted for any repairs needed on the sunroof tracks or glass.
