  Q: How do you replace the Vapor Pressure Sensor,purge control solenoid valve and EVAP canister on Nissan Sentra?

  A: To replace the purge control solenoid valve one has to first loosen the bolts and remove the engine cover, then disconnect the hoses from the valve, which consists of electrical connector, two hoses, two mounting nuts. After that, unbend the electrical connector and unscrew the mounting nuts to demount the valve from the bracket and mounting while the procedure of mounting inverses the process. For a canister that is situated under the vehicle, near the right rear wheel, you need to lift the car and place it on secure jackstands. First, the EVAP canister protector has to be taken off by unscrewing the shield fasteners Next all the connectors have to be disconnected including electrical connectors of the control pressure sensor and the vent control valve, the canister purge hose, the fuel tank EVAP breather hose, and the vent control valve hose have to be removed. Take out the canister retaining bolts and then take out the EVAP canister; to install simply reverse the process.
