When dealing with the left side control arm, lowering the front suspension crossmember may be necessary to access the front pivot bolt. For inspection, check the front and rear bushings for any cracks or tears; if damaged or worn, the control arm must be replaced since the bushings cannot be replaced separately. Also, inspect the control arm for straightness and replace it if bent, as attempting to straighten it is not advisable. For installation, follow the reverse order of removal, ensuring all fasteners are tightened to the specified torque. Finally, install the wheel and lug nuts, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the appropriate torque, and consider having the front wheel alignment checked and adjusted if needed.
