Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the fresh air intake duct. 2011 and earlier models Remove the coolant reservoir. Disconnect the wiring from the starter. Remove the two mounting bolts and remove the starter (Starter motor mounting bolts). Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the starter mounting bolts. Reconnect the battery and perform the necessary re-learn procedures. 2012 and later models Disconnect the wiring from the starter. Remove the engine oil filter for access during starter removal. Remove the three starter mounting bolts and remove the starter. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the starter mounting bolts. Reconnect the battery and perform the necessary re-learn procedures.
