  A: Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. For 2011 and earlier models, remove the fasteners securing the lower cover, which is held by two screws, then carefully pry off the ignition switch trim piece. Unclip the covers from each other and remove them, with installation being the reverse of removal. For 2012 and later models, begin by removing the knee bolster, followed by the lower knee protector by taking out the bolts. Next, remove the steering column covers by unscrewing them, with installation again being the reverse of removal.
