To remove the windshield wiper motor, first switch on the wiper and then off so as to make sure that the blades are in the right position of parking ; this will help in easily realigning the windshield wiper blades since the positions of the wiper are also marked on the windshield using tape. Remove the cable which was connected to the negative terminal of the battery, unscrew the wiper arm pivot caps and the nuts. Remove the wiper arms from the drive studs by ensuring that one wiper arm is locked and using a leverage force to get the next wiper arm out. Subsequently, lift the cowl cover and un bolt all the components within the reach of the strut brace and put all the components aside. Remove the wiper frame and strut by now, leaning the wires out of the harness from the frame and unbolt the brace. Loosen the left wiper drive stud's cover, take out three mounting bolts, and then take out the wiper assembly. To install it, reverse the removal procedures and make sure the wiper motor is on and then off to set the wiper motor in the PARK mode before fixing the wiper arms and reconnecting the battery, and perform any relearn procedures. Likewise control the rear wiper motor, switch the wiper ON and then let it turn OFF to check that the blades are correctly parked; to do this, tape the blade's position on the window; you won't need this connection : disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Lift the cap situated at the lower part of the arm, take out the nut and ultimately, detach the arm from the wiper motor spindle.
