Nissan Xterra Wheel Cylinder

The Wheel Cylinder in Nissan Xterra vehicles is an important part of the car that expands the hydraulic pressure so as to push the brake shoes against the brake drum so that the vehicle comes to a stop. This mechanism entails pistons situated in the cylinder that move outwards when the brake pressure is applied and this causes the shoes to confront the drum. The cylinder body is generally constructed from cast iron or aluminum and has cup seals, pistons within it with expander spring to exert pressure on the fluid prevent it from leaking. The function of the wheel cylinder is to improve the force exerted on the brake to produce considerable braking power needed for safe driving; if it is either damaged or has leakages, the force exerted will substantially reduce, it thus needs to be replaced or rebuilt. It is therefore important to commonly inspect and carry out a general check on the wheel cylinder so as to maximize the efficiency of the brakes at any given time while driving the Nissan Xterra vehicles.
