Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the lower splash shield (if equipped) from beneath the alternator. Remove the drivebelt. Disconnect the electrical connector and the alternator output wire from the alternator. Remove the bolts and separate the alternator from the engine. Installation is the reverse of removal. Install the drivebelt and reconnect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery. Adjust the drivebelt.
