With the No. 1 piston at TDC, mark the timing marks on the camshaft sprocket and timing chain, as well as the timing marks on the crankshaft sprocket and chain. Then, unbolt the camshaft sprocket, holding the chain where the tensioner contacts it to prevent it from falling apart. Use a two-armed gear puller to remove the crankshaft sprocket assembly.
