    To replace the coil, first disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Then, disconnect the ignition coil electrical connector and the secondary high tension wire from the coil. Remove the coil mounting bolts and detach it from the engine. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Before installing the spark plug wire connector into the ignition coil, coat the interior of the boot with silicone dielectric compound.
