Have the refrigerant discharged at a dealer service department or an automotive air conditioning repair facility. On sedan models, remove the grille. On coupes, remove the front bumper. Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the condenser (Air conditioning condenser refrigerant line connection and typical retaining clip). Immediately cap the open fittings to prevent the entry of dirt and moisture. Disconnect the wiring from the pressure sensor on top of the liquid tank ( The air conditioning system pressure sensor is mounted on the receiver-drier;the receiver-drier is a part of the condenser). Release the two upper mounting clips, then pull the condenser up and lift it out of the vehicle. Store it upright to prevent oil loss. Installation is the reverse of removal. If a new condenser is installed, add 2.5 ounces (75 cc) of refrigerant oil to the system. Use only refrigerant oil compatible with the R-134a system in your vehicle. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by the shop that discharged it.
