Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the three steering column cover screws, with one located in the lower cover and two in the upper cover behind the steering wheel; access the upper screws by turning the steering wheel slightly. The upper and lower covers are secured by four mounting tabs in the upper half of the cover, two on each side; grasp the upper and lower column cover halves firmly and pull them apart. Carefully work the two parts of the steering column cover off the steering column, ensuring that nothing gets scratched or damaged. Installation is the reverse of removal, and after reconnecting the battery, perform the necessary re-learn procedures.

Remove the knee bolster and knee bolster reinforcement panel. On the right side of the column, pull out the small cover around the ignition switch. Remove the steering column cover screws from the lower cover and separate the upper and lower covers. Separate the cover halves and detach them from the steering column. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
