To remove the Clutch Slave Cylinder, first disconnect the negative cable from the battery. If access is needed, remove the battery. Next, loosen the clutch hydraulic line banjo bolt and remove the Clutch Slave Cylinder mounting bolts. Disconnect the hydraulic line at the Clutch Slave Cylinder, keeping a small can and rags handy to catch any spilled fluid. After that, remove the Clutch Slave Cylinder. For installation, connect the hydraulic line to the Clutch Slave Cylinder before securing it in place with new sealing washers. Tighten the banjo bolt finger tight, but do not torque it until the Clutch Slave Cylinder is bolted securely. Install the Clutch Slave Cylinder on the transaxle, ensuring the pushrod is seated in the release lever pocket, then install and tighten the retaining bolts to the specified torque. Tighten the hydraulic line banjo bolt to the required torque. Fill the clutch master cylinder with brake fluid that meets DOT 3 specifications and bleed the system. If the battery was removed, reinstall it.
