    A:
The services include the deactivation of the fuel system and the complete draining of the cooling system, the time chain, and the camshafts before the cylinder head is withdrawn. Remove exhaust system front pipe from the manifold, fuel feed and return hoses from the fuel rail (All the outlets must be sealed), vacuum servo unit hose, coolant hoses and many more hoses from the manifold and related valves. Relax the retaining clips and remove the coolant hoses from the cylinder head. Loosen ten main cylinder head bolts at a time to the extent of a half turn and then take out the bolts; the washers should be recovered with special attention to their orientation. With help, raise the cylinder head off and pull off the gasket from the block noting the locating dowels and pulling them out, if they are slightly loose, off they come. Before refitting, it is recommended to inspect the cylinder head bolts for wear and measure its length to ensure they meet the manufacturers' standards; the mating surfaces of the cylinder head and block should be cleaned and all residues of the gasket, as well as carbon deposits, should be removed while preventing any debris from entering water or oil channels. check the mating faces for any damage and if there exist small pits then one could use a file to smoothen them. In case warpage is considered, examine the cylinder head gasket surfaces for any signs of the same. For refitting, then clean the mating surfaces, make sure the locating dowels are fitted, then inset a new gasket and then refitting the cylinder head assembly. To target the threads and undersides of cylinder head bolts, use clean oil Apply, place the washers on the bolts with the tapered side facing upwards and then tighten the bolts to the tightness that you can use your fingers on. Like this, the tightening of the bolts has to be done in sequence, through the torque settings from the first range, second range until getting to the final range as you hold the right angle of tightening as set by the tool. These are reconnect the coolant hoses, reset all the disturbed wires and hoses, join the exhaust system front pipe and replace the inlet manifold. Camshafts and timing chains must be refitted, the valve clearances must be checked if head was refitted, new coolant must be added to the cooling system, and finally the engine should be started and checked for leakage.
