Follow the steps to access the ignition switch. Remove the shear-head bolts retaining the ignition switch/lock cylinder assembly and separate the bracket halves from the steering column. This can be accomplished by drilling a hole in the center of each bolt and unscrewing them with a screw extractor. Place the new switch assembly in position, install the new shear-head bolts, and tighten them until the heads snap off.
