    Q:
How to remove and install the door lock cylinder,Door Lock and handle on both front and rear doors on Nissan Rogue? Posted by Customer
    A:
This process applies to both front and rear doors. Begin by removing the power window switch, followed by the door trim panel and watershield. Next, take out the door window module. For models with the Intelligent Key system, disconnect the electrical connectors to the door antenna and door request switch, then remove the harness retaining clip from the door outside handle bracket. Pry out the door side grommet to access the door key cylinder trim panel bolt, and disconnect the key lock rod from the lock cylinder from inside the door. Remove the door lock cylinder and cover assembly while pulling the outside handle forward; if the key lock rod cannot be disconnected from the inside, pull the door lock cylinder out enough to disconnect the key cylinder connection rod before removing it. Pull out the outside door handle and slide it towards the rear of the vehicle for removal, then carefully remove the front and rear gaskets. Next, take out the door lock assembly mounting bolts, slide the outside handle bracket towards the rear of the vehicle, and remove the assembly. If applicable, disconnect the door lock assembly electrical connector and separate the outside handle cable from the outside handle bracket. Installation follows the reverse order of removal.

    Q:
How do you remove and install the inside door handle, key lock cylinder, outside door handle, and door latch on Nissan Murano? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the inside door handle, first take off the door trim panel, disconnect the actuator cable from the handle, and unscrew the handle from the backside of the door trim panel. Installation is the reverse of removal. For the key lock cylinder and outside door handle, begin by removing the door trim panel, then take out the door window glass and the door module assembly. Remove the rubber plug from the rear edge of the door to access the Torx bolt securing the key lock cylinder, and loosen the bolt without removing it completely. Disconnect the actuator rod connecting the key lock cylinder to the door latch assembly by popping off the clip and pushing the rod out. If removing the outside door handle, disconnect the upper end of the rod; if removing the latch assembly, disconnect the lower end. Pull the outside door handle to remove the lock cylinder assembly or the outside handle trim cap. To remove the outside handle, pull it out and slide it to the rear, then slide the mounting bracket toward the rear of the vehicle and pull it out of the door, disconnecting the actuator cable. Installation is the reverse of removal. For the door latch, remove the door trim panel, the door window glass, and the door module assembly. Detach the latch from the door by removing the Torx bolts from the rear edge and pulling the latch assembly out. Disconnect the electrical connector and the actuator cable from the door latch before removing the latch assembly. Installation is the reverse of removal.
