These models are fitted with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), this is generally referred to as the Airbag, with functions that protect the driver and the passenger from severe injury in the case of head on collision, while certain models come with front and side torso airbags and roof rail airbags. All models' diagram features a diagnostic control unit positioned on the floor beneath the central console.
