If wipers fail to activate, check the fuse and use a jumper wire to test the motor's ground connection; if it works, repair the ground. If not, check for voltage at the motor when the switch is in the HI position, and if voltage is present, test the motor off the vehicle with jumper wires. For inoperative interval function, check wiring continuity between the switch and wiper control module, and for wipers that fail to park, ensure a good ground connection at the motor. If wipers won't shut off unless the ignition is off, disconnect the switch; if they stop, replace the switch, otherwise replace the motor due to a defective limit switch.
