To remove the power steering pump, first loosen the connection between the cable of the negative terminal of the battery. Toward the front passenger side loosen the right front wheel lug nuts, then safely lift the car on a jack and place it on two jackstands and remove the wheel. Subsequently, pull off the engine lower splash shield and also the right inner fender panel. With a large syringe or suction gun remove most of the chlorinated solvent from the power steering fluid reservoir, and put a drain pan beneath the vehicle to catch the fluid that will be spilled while uncoupling the hoses from the respective pipes. Open the clamp and remove the fluid return hose from the over pump and disconnect the pressure line from the pump by removing the banjo bolt and take out the pressure line, which will also need new sealing washers when re-installing. I had to demould the drivebelt of the pump and undo the pump mounting bolts to extricate the pump from the car. When it comes to installation, do the reverse of what was stated above and before tightening the banjo bolt, then should replace the sealing washers. Connect the battery and carry out all those relearn procedures as required next fill the fluid level in the reservoir and bleed the system.
