How should the pinion flange be installed, and what is the process for tightening the pinion nut for the 2006 Nissan Titan? Posted by Customer

Install the pinion flange while aligning the previously made marks. If needed, tighten the pinion nut to draw the flange into position, refraining from hammering it. Apply RTV sealant to the visible ends of the splines at the center of the flange to seal in the oil. Install a new pinion nut and pinion nut lockwasher (never reuse the old ones) and tighten the nut.
