To remove and install the ABS Sensor, first raise and support the vehicle safely, then remove the rear wheels. Disconnect the sensor harness connector and detach the sensor mounting brackets before removing the sensor mounting bolts. For the Stanza, withdraw the sensor from the rear gusset, while for the 240SX, it is located on the side of the differential center near the driveshaft companion flange. After removing the sensor mounting brackets from the sensor wiring, transfer the mounting brackets to the new sensor and install it, checking and adjusting the sensor-to-rotor clearance as specified. Once the clearance is set, tighten the sensor mounting bolts to 13-20 ft.lbs, install the sensor mounting brackets ensuring proper routing of the sensor wiring, connect the sensor harness connector, and finally mount the rear wheels and lower the vehicle. For ABS Sensor clearance adjustment, install the ABS Sensor and check the clearance between the edge of the sensor and rotor teeth using a feeler gauge, ensuring clearances of 0.0138-0.0246 in. (0.035-0.625 mm) for the 240SX and 0.008-0.039 in. (0.2-1.0 mm) for the Stanza. To adjust the clearance, loosen the sensor mounting bolts and move the sensor until the specified clearance is achieved, then tighten the bolts to 13-20 ft.lbs.

Position and install the sensor mounting brackets, ensuring proper routing of the sensor wiring.
