    Q:
How do you remove the driveshaft from the 2004 Nissan Frontier? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin by removing the rear universal joint nuts and bolts. For vehicles with a two-piece driveshaft, also unbolt the center support bearing from the cross member. Lower the rear of the driveshaft and carefully slide the front of the driveshaft out of the transmission or transfer case. Secure a plastic bag over the transmission or transfer case housing using a rubber band to prevent any debris from entering.

    Q:
What other aspects of the driveshaft should be inspected for the 2002 Nissan Frontier? Posted by Customer
    A:
Check the tightness of the driveshaft mounting bolts at both ends. For 4WD models, repeat the above checks on the front driveshaft. Inspect for leakage where the driveshafts connect to the transfer case and front differential. Also, check the joints of the front drive axles for any looseness and inspect the rubber boots and both ends of each axle for grease or oil leakage.
