To replace the tie-rod end, first, the front wheel lug nuts have to be loosened then lift the front of the vehicle and support it on jackstands before taking off the wheel. Thirdly, run the jam nut just far enough that this alignment can be marked, then run the nut on the tie-rod end ballstud until it is in contact with the threaded surface of the tie-rod, but do not remove this nut, while holding it from rotating with the Torx bit. You should then remove the tie-rod by using a puller on the tie-rod end that connects to the steering knuckle arm; you have to then remove the nut and then separate the tie-rod end from the steering knuckle, to unscrew the tie-rod end from the actual tie-rod. For fitment, align the tie-rod end to the marked area and fix the tie-rod stud on the steering knuckle arm with the help of the jam nut. Bolt the nut on the ball stud in accordance with the manufacturer's instruction so that it reaches the recommended torque. Lastly, fit the wheel and the lug nuts, then let the car down and further tighten the lug nuts to required torque with a recommendation to have the wheels aligned if it is out of track.
