First, open the windows on G35 Coupes and 350Z variants, then pull the cable off the negative terminal. Disconnect the clock trim panel and the clock and then the center trim panel with the side panels. Next, remove the instrument panel center trim bezel mounting bolts and then remove the center trim bezel along with the audio unit and in case of having the special display unit it is to be removed jointly with the mentioned components. Loosen the electrical connectors of the air conditioning, the audio controller and the unit and the radio antenna. Work your fingers in between the two small metal pieces and slowly separate it, separating the audio unit of the air conditioning/audio controller. Take out the screws for the Audio unit mounting bracket and then pull the bracket with the audio unit together since they are one piece. In the case of cars with a navigation system, pinch out the screws that fix the display assembly to the audio assembly and pull them apart. At this point, remove the screws that hold the audio unit to the mounting bracket to pull the audio unit and the display unit apart. The process of installing is vice versa to that of the removal process. When servicing the air conditioning and the audio controller, first, disconnect the audio unit and the navigation unit if there is one then disconnect the center storage receptacle if you don't have a navigation system in your vehicle. The air conditioning/audio controller mounting screws have to be removed and the controller should be detached from the center trim bezel; during the attachment process, the locator pins should match. Door speakers; L Mk3 remove the surround trim panel, disconnect the electrical connector and the four bolts-some models might have Bose type with four screws. The process of installation is the direct opposite of removal. For tweeters that are at the front doors, you'll have to uninstall the door trim panel and the mirror cover too this step should detach the electrical connector and finally unscrew the tweeter. The installation also debark from the same approach through a reverse manner. To change a woofer or rear speaker, there is the removal of the rear parcel shelf, the removal of the mounting screws, pulling out the speaker and finally we disconnect the electrical connector, while to reinstall the woofer or rear speaker, we reverse the process. In 350Z models, the procedures of the removal start with the center trim panel, followed by the removal of the radio mounting screw, pulling out the audio unit and final disconnection of the electrical connectors and the antenna cable. Screws and brackets that mount the device must be unscrewed; device installation differs in that it is carried out in reverse. The removal and installation procedures of door speakers and tweeters are the same for both G35 Sedans and Coupes, but for the rear speaker, it is installed in the upper luggage floor trim panel which thus requires the removal of the trim panel, mounting screws of the speaker, and its electrical connector also for installing the new one.
