    Q:
How to remove and install the Steering Knuckle on Nissan Titan? Posted by Customer
    A:
On Armada models equipped with a rear auto-leveling suspension, turn the ignition key to the OFF position before raising the vehicle. Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands placed underneath the frame (or subframe) rails. Remove the wheel. Remove the wheel speed sensor, brake caliper and brake disc. Hang the caliper out of the way with a piece of wire (don't disconnect the brake hose). Remove the wheel bearing and hub assembly. Disconnect the tie-rod end from the steering knuckle. Disconnect the balljoints from the steering knuckle and remove the steering knuckle. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to tighten the balljoint and tie-rod end fasteners and use new cotter pins. Note: If necessary, tighten the nuts a little more to align the slots in the nut with the hole in the ballstud; don't loosen the nut to insert the cotter pin. Tighten the caliper mounting bolts. On 4WD models, tighten the driveaxle hub nut. Tighten the wheel lug nuts.
