How do you adjust the Throttle Valve cable to ensure proper transmission shift points and what steps are involved in the adjustment process on Nissan Frontier? Posted by Customer
    A:
Remove the air filter housing. Pull up the Throttle cable and pass through a slot in the lever. Detach the cable casing from the bracket. Drain the transmission fluid, remove the fluid pan, and detach the cable from the lever and transmission. Detach the cable adjuster from the bracket, raise the vehicle, and support it firmly on jackstands. Depress the lock plate on the adjuster, pull the adjusting tube toward the adjuster, and release the lock plate. Have the assistant quickly depress the throttle open to full throttle. Mark the cable where it exits the boot and measure the total stroke of the cable.
