First, you need to unscrew the lug nuts, then you have to lift the car and place it on jack stands and then you take the wheel off. Subsequently, detach the tie-rod end for which you will require the jam nut to be undone. Just slide off the outer rack and pinion boot clamp using pliers as the clamp is spring loaded thus it can only be pinched to be slid off; the inner boot clamp should best be cut off using a diagonally cutter then you can take off the boot. When affixing a new boot, it is recommended that you cover the thread on the end of the steering rod with cloth to avoid damaging the small end of the new boot. Position the new boot on the steering gear and slide it mid-way into its groove on the steering rod then fit new clamps. Take off the tape and fit the tie-rod end. Lastly, fit the wheel and lug nuts, and align the car; lower the car and torque the lug nuts to the recommended pounds per inch, and the alignment should be checked by the dealer service department or at a shop that specializes in alignments.
