To bench bleed the new master cylinder before installation, follow these steps: Mount the master cylinder in a vise securely. Attach a pair of master cylinder bleeder tubes to the outlet ports of the master cylinder. Fill the reservoir with the recommended brake fluid. Slowly push the pistons into the master cylinder. Pull the reservoir straight up out of the seals using two screwdrivers. If only the seals are being replaced, carefully pry out the old seals and install new ones. Lubricate the reservoir seals with clean brake fluid and press the reservoir back into place on the master cylinder body. Refill the reservoir with the recommended brake fluid and check for leaks.
