To remove the old master cylinder, start by removing the nuts that attach it to the power booster. Once the nuts are removed, you can pull the master cylinder off the studs to completely detach it. If necessary, remove the pin on the left side of the master cylinder that retains the reservoir and pull the reservoir from the master cylinder. Lubricate the reservoir seals with clean brake fluid and press the reservoir into place on the master cylinder body. Finally, install the pin that retains the reservoir.
