To remove the evaporator core: Disconnect the refrigerant lines at the firewall. Remove the glove box assembly and the right-side under-dash panel. Take out the four screws and the reinforcement bar in the glove box area. Disconnect the electrical connectors at the evaporator and blower housings. Remove the bolts retaining the blower/evaporator case to the firewall. Separate the two halves of the case and remove the evaporator core.
