Again, starting with 1993 and 1994 models, slightly remove the wheel lug nuts, lift the front part of the car and place it on jack stands before detaching the wheel. Third, unbolt the balls of the CV-joint which are attached to the axletree by the removal of the nuts protecting the CV-joint from dampness; next, unbolt the ball joint nut to affix the ball joint to the steering knuckle, and disengage this ball joint from the control arm. If the cotter pin hole is slanted, and the slot on the nut does not meet the hole, continue further tightening until the holes on the next slot meet the one on the ball joint stud. Last but not least, put the wheel back, replace the lug nuts and after lowering the vehicle, again tighten the lug nuts in the right amount of torque.
