To remove the radio, first disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Then, remove the center instrument panel trim using a trim panel tool to pry it up, tilting it to release the tabs, and take out the retaining screws. After that, remove the screws securing the radio, slide the radio assembly out, disconnect the electrical connectors, and take out the radio. For installation, reverse the removal steps and reconnect the battery, performing any necessary re-learn procedures. For A-pillar mounted tweeters, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the windshield pillar trim panels, unscrew the speaker mounting screws, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the speaker, then reverse the process for installation. For door speakers, remove the door trim panels, unscrew the mounting screws, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the speaker, again reversing the steps for installation. To access the sub-woofer, remove the luggage compartment side trim panel, unscrew the sub-woofer, and take it out, storing it safely; installation is the reverse. For the satellite radio tuner on hatchback models, remove the lower left side trim panel and the sub-woofer, while for sedan models, remove the left side trim panel from the trunk, then unscrew the tuner mounting bolts, disconnect the electrical connectors, and remove the tuner, reversing the steps for installation. To access the steering wheel audio controls, remove the steering wheel, turn it upside down to take off the rear trim panel, unscrew the audio control mounting screws, and remove the controls, reversing the steps for installation. The Bluetooth system can be diagnosed through a self-diagnostic test or by a technician using the audio controls on the steering wheel. For Bluetooth unit removal, take off the lower right side luggage/trunk trim to access the Bluetooth module, disconnect the antenna wiring harness, remove the upper and lower bracket bolts, and take out the Bluetooth unit, reversing the steps for installation. For the microphone, remove the overhead center console and trim, disconnect the microphone from its electrical connector, and remove it, with installation being the reverse of removal.
