Nissan Juke Brake Pedal Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How do you remove and adjust the facia lower trim panel on the driver's side on Nissan Juke?
A: To remove the facia lower trim panel on the driver's side, work in the driver's foot well to take out the R clip from the end of the servo pushrod clevis pin, squeezing the ends of the clevis pin retainer together to remove the pin. Disconnect the wiring connectors from the stop-light switch, brake pedal position switch, and accelerator pedal position switch, and release the wiring harness from the clips on the brake pedal mounting bracket. Unscrew the nuts securing the pedal bracket to the bulkhead, noting that these also secure the vacuum servo, then withdraw the pedal/bracket assembly from the bulkhead and out through the foot well, keeping in mind that the brake pedal is integral with the bracket assembly and cannot be renewed individually. For refitting, follow the reverse order of removal. To adjust, measure the pedal free height from the top face of the pedal to the floor, improving access by removing the facia lower trim panel and lifting the carpet for accurate measurement. If adjustment is needed, loosen the locknut on the servo pushrod and turn it until the specified height is achieved, then retighten the locknut. Ensure that the stop-lights turn off when the pedal is released; if not, adjust the switch accordingly. Finally, refit the trim panel.
