How to remove and install the air filter and mass airflow sensor on Nissan Maxima?

Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Then, disconnect the electrical connector from the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor and intake air temperature sensor. Loosen the retaining clamp securing the MAF sensor to the air intake duct or resonator. Detach the spring clips and remove the air filter upper housing and mass airflow sensor as an assembly. Remove the lower air filter housing mounting bolts and remove it from the engine compartment. Remember, installation is the reverse of removal.
