  Q: How to remove and install the liquid tank and condenser on Nissan Rogue?

  A: The A/C Accumulator, also known as the receiver-drier, is part of the condenser and is not serviceable on 2014 and later models, except Rogue Select models. The refrigerant should be discharged at a dealer service department or an automotive air conditioning repair facility. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the air inlet duct and the bumper cover. On 2014 and later models, except Rogue Select models, remove the right headlight housing. Remove the hood latch support bolts, then rotate the support up and out of the way. It is not necessary to disconnect the electrical connectors or latch cable. Remove the refrigerant line fitting bolts and disconnect the lines from the condenser. Plug all open fittings to prevent entry of dirt and moisture into the lines. Disconnect the electrical connector from the refrigerant pressure sensor and remove the pressure sensor from the A/C Accumulator attached to the condenser. Remove the condenser-to-bracket fasteners and remove the condenser. Avoid damaging the condenser fins and tanks during removal. For 2013 and earlier models/2014 and later Rogue Select models, to detach the A/C Accumulator from the condenser, remove the bolt at the bottom and the strap bolt mid-way up the tank, then detach the tank from the refrigerant line manifold at the bottom. If a new A/C Accumulator is installed, add 0.4 ounce of refrigerant oil to the system. Installation is the reverse of removal. If a new condenser was installed, add 1.2 ounces of refrigerant oil to the system. Do not use old O-rings for the refrigerant lines; replace them with new ones and apply compressor oil to them before installation. Reconnect the battery and perform the necessary re-learn procedures. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by the shop that discharged it.
