Q: How to replace the thermostat on a Nissan Versa?
A: For 2007-2008 models, drain the cooling system, remove the water inlet-to-thermostat housing bolts, and take out the thermostat. For 2009 and later models, remove the air intake duct as well as the Coolant Reservoir, detach the oil level gauge guide, and remove the lower radiator hose and thermostat. Clean the gasket surfaces. Install a new sealing ring and thermostat, making sure for proper orientation. Installation is the reverse of the removal process, tighten fasteners, and refill the cooling system.
