Then, another lower intermediate shaft bolt should be unscrewed to release the intermediate shaft from the rack and pinion. Lose fits the front wheel lug nuts, lift the vehicle and fit jackstands while blocking the rear wheels. Discharge both the suspension and the wheels, after which the subframe bolts as well as the rack and pinion mounting will be removed. For installation it is recommended that the rack and pinion is aligned from left to right and the provided mount surface at the body side of the firewall seal has no damages or dirt. Put the gear on the subframe, screws in bolts and tighten them up a bit. Replace the subframe, place the wheels back on accompanied by the lug nuts, lower the car and then finally, tighten the lug nuts to the recommended torque.
