Apply compressed air to the cylinder using an adapter in the spark plug hole. Ensure that rags are stuffed around the valves to prevent debris from entering the engine.

Thread a long adapter into the spark plug hole, connecting it to a compressed air source. Apply compressed air to the cylinder and place shop rags around the valves to prevent debris from entering the engine.

Reapply air pressure to retain the valve in the closed position, remove the tape or rubber band, and lubricate the valve stems with engine oil before installing new valve stem seals. Use a special tool or a deep socket and hammer for intake valve seals, tapping them to the specified depth. For exhaust seals, install them by hand to the specified depth. Be cautious not to mix up intake and exhaust seals.

Remove the compressed air and reinstall the camshaft, lifters, timing chain, valve covers, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. Finally, start and run the engine, checking for oil leaks and unusual sounds in the valve cover area.

Disconnect the air hose, reinstall the spark plug adapter, and proceed to reinstall the camshafts, lifters, timing chain, valve covers, spark plugs, ignition coils, upper and lower intake plenum.
