To disconnect the brake hose from the caliper, you should first remove the old sealing washers and then disconnect the brake hose. It's crucial to plug the brake hose immediately to prevent contaminants and air from entering the brake system. Plugging also helps minimize the loss of brake fluid during this process. If you are only removing the caliper for access to other components and intend to leave the brake hose connected, you can skip this step.

To reinstall the brake caliper, follow the reverse process of removal. Ensure you use new sealing washers on each side of the brake hose inlet fitting. Tighten both the fitting bolt and the caliper mounting bolts to the specified torque values. For rear calipers on Titan models, also install a new sealing washer on the brake hose. Thread the caliper onto the brake hose as far as possible before tightening it with a wrench. Finally, check that the hose isn't twisted and proceed to bleed the brake system if necessary. If the brake hose was not disconnected, bleeding may not be required. Test the brakes carefully to ensure there are no leaks from the hose connections before returning the vehicle to normal service.
