To swap a fuel level sensor to another fuel pump module, trace the sensor harness to its electrical connector and disconnect it. To disengage the sensor from the pump module, depress the locks on each side of the sensor with needle-nose pliers and slide the sensor up. When installing the sensor module, make sure that the locks snap into place.
